Music of my Life, Part 1

Soundtrack of My Life

I listen to music as close to 24/7 as I can.  In the car (love me some satellite radio), at work (iPod with headphones), at home (iPad usually, with headphones or a speaker), Pandora sometimes.  I love old music, and am constantly looking for new music.

I make playlists for everything.  If you were to check my iPod, there are all kinds of crazy playlists, like “Heavy Duty Housework” and “Unfocused Worship” and “Meh”.  Of course, a lot of the time I just let the iPod shuffle through the thousands of songs on it.  Carpe diem, indeed.

This is part of my current work playlist (actually it is the “Work Routine Stuff” playlist, which translates as easy-listening-ish without being totally boring, good melody without the overhelming temptation to belt out the song along with the iPod):

Hold On, by Alabama Shakes
Missing You, by Alison Krauss & John Waite
Little Bird, by Annie Lennox
No Rain, by Blind Melon
I Can’t Make you Love Me, by Bonnie Raitt
Marry You, by Bruno Mars
Shenandoah, by Chanticleer
Jar of Hearts, by Christina Perri
That Home, by The Cinematic Orchestra
Clocks, by Coldplay
I Will Follow You Into the Dark, by Deathcab for Cutie
One Day Like This, by Elbow
Fix You Up, by the Folka Dots
On My Own, by Frances Rufelle (some Les Mis love)
Gotye, his entire Making Mirrors CD
Annie you Save Me, by Graffiti 6
Grouplove, their entire Never Trust a Happy Song CD,
Para Donde Vas, by The Iguanas
Radioactive, by Imagine Dragons
The Way I Am, by Ingrid Michaelson
Beautiful Goodbye, by Maroon 5,
Milo Green, the entire self-titled CD
What Makes you Beautiful, One Direction
All the Fun, by Paul Overstreet
and about 300 more.

Quite an electic mix.  Love them all.

Back to work now!
